Biography

A native of east Tennessee, Karen calls the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains her home.  In 2019, Karen began making jewelry by beading, wire weaving, and wire wrapping. In 2020, Karen expanded her knowledge and skills to include metal clays in both silver and base metals, as well as some traditional metalsmithing skills.  Karen finds inspiration in the imperfectly perfect side of nature and strives to design and create jewelry to encourage everyone to be their naturally unique self.  Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is a proud member of the Alliance for Metal Clay Arts Worldwide (AMCAW), the International Gem Society (IGS), the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG), and the American Craft Council (ACC).
